You Are Amazing!

When was the last time someone said that to you? Often we do things and they go unnoticed. Or people do things for us and we forget to really acknowledge it.

One way to address this is to acknowledge yourself. When you know you have done something amazing congratulate yourself! Acknowledging to yourself that you achieved something is very empowering and it makes you feel better. Now you might find this difficult as we are so used to wanting praise to come from the outside. But when you learn to praise yourself more and more it really does boost your sense of well-being and you stop relying on it from an external source.

Often, because we do things and expect no thanks, we don’t get it! The people around us come to rely on our giving nature and we can start to feel taken for granted. When you change that expectation internally you will find that acknowledgement will flow towards you. You see we can’t expect others to give to us when we don’t set that feeling of self-worth at a higher level. When our feelings of self-worth are set within us at a high level others will meet us at that level. When it’s set at a low level then that’s what we will get.


So practice self-praise regularly and notice the difference. Not only will your feelings of well-being increase but recognition will follow
