The 3 R’s

Relax – Refresh – Rejuvenate

Would you agree that if we were taught this alongside regular lessons at school our lives and our well-being might be very different?

I know that for myself these 3 words did not feature in my vocabulary as a child, teenager or young adult! It was only when I began my own journey into well-being that I was introduced to these concepts.

Luckily for us these three words are far more commonplace these days and the younger generation are more exposed to them. But wouldn’t it be so beneficial to the next generation if they are included in the curriculum?

Taking care of your well-being by factoring in the new three R’s would be so easy if we grow up knowing that we can take care of our own well-being and therefore our health.

But you’re never too old to learn something new are you? So my message to you this week is to think of ways how are you can factor in time to relax, refresh and rejuvenate. What kind acts can you think of for yourself this week?

Maybe write out a few ideas and tick them off as you try them and see which ones work best for you. It may be one of the breathing techniques. It may be doing a yoga class, going for a run or just taking time out to read a book. Whatever helps you to relax, refresh and feel rejuvenated is a must in our lives these days to maintain a healthy wellbeing.

Don’t forget to applaud yourself for taking charge of your wellbeing.

What worked best for you? Let us know how you chose to rest, relax and rejuvenate.
