We all work in exchange for money to obtain the things we need to live, for example food and accommodation, and on the things we like to have, such as new clothes, holidays or a meal in our favourite restaurant.
However we often end up spending extortionate amounts of time working at work with no downtime or no ‘me’ time at all. We spend most of the hours in the week working and then are so exhausted all we can do is watch TV and go to bed each evening, or sleep the whole weekend. We don’t have the time to pursue our interests or spend time with our loved ones.
Where’s the fun in that?
We don’t need to live to work but work to live the kind of life we desire.
Some of us are lucky enough to truly enjoy what we do for work, however this doesn’t mean that a balance isn’t important.
Look to see where you can redress the balance in your life. What has to change? What do you truly love to do to relax and how can you make time to include this in your daily life? Think about the small changes you can make towards creating the balance to truly enjoy your life.
